BUDERIM TIMBER BATHROOM

After living in the outback for several years and gaining an appreciation of a practical lifestyle and a good sense of simplicity, the clients requested a casual yet luxurious home that embraced finishes linking back to the urban mountainside location. Timber elements were repeated throughout the home to enhance a natural style and an element of warmth. A distinct connection can be seen between the natural style and artistic artefacts from the outback.

One unique feature seen in this project’s bathroom is the incorporation of the robe, hidden behind the customized timber shoji screens. On one end of this accentuated robe unit is a concealed storage area to house bathroom essentials, combining functional elements with beautiful craftmanship. Light and airy atmosphere is achieved by the selection of a neutral colour scheme with minimal ornamentation, while the open plan layout directs the attention through to the bedroom and further to the surrounding views of the majestic trees & surrounding mountains – giving the clients a great opportunity to retreat and reflect while enjoying a lifestyle at home.
